Courchevel Is the Ultimate Luxury Destination for the 2022/23 Ski Season

Picking a ski resort can be difficult. It is not enough to choose the best resorts; you must also factor in the perfect accommodation, activities, restaurant reservations, and après-ski facilities. The 2022/23 ski season is fast approaching, and it is time to start planning your trip.

Courchevel is top of our lists this season, partly because it is hosting the 2023 Ski World Cup but primarily because it offers everything you could want from a ski destination. It comprises four well-linked ski resorts (Courchevel 1850, Moriond 1650, Courchevel Village 1550, and Courchevel Le Praz 1300), all with different ambience facilities. You can choose to spend time in any of the 4 Courchevel ski resorts at any given time, depending on your holiday goals. We love that kind of flexibility in our ski trips.

Everything You Need to Know About Skiing in Courchevel

When Is Courchevel‘s 2022/23 Ski Season?

You can ski earlier than these dates if you can drive and hike around the Courchevel ski resorts. Still, some restaurants, bars, and entertainment may not open before the season officially starts. We recommend visiting until the grand opening on the 5th of December.

2023 Ski World Cup in Courchevel and Méribel

The World Alpine Ski Championships will be held in Courchevel and Méribel in 2023. This bi-annual event has only been held in France three times in the past (1937, 1962, and 2009), and this is Les 3 Vallée’s first time hosting the Ski World Cup. 600 competitors from 75 countries will participate in 6 ski disciplines.

Tickets have been available since July, but even if you do not plan to watch the Ski World Cup, it is a beautiful time to visit the Courchevel area. Extraordinary events and celebrations are scheduled to entertain the expected 20,000 people visiting the area for this momentous event.
